This film is a nod to the Cannes Film Festival. It describes the unfolding of the Festival of Cane-tons and Chicks of the Marshes organized by the birds of the marshes and intended to reward the best feathered hopes. The jury is made up of: - Mr Martin, specialist in freshwater fishing, - Mr Chevalier, barker of his condition, - and Mrs Garzette, egret of his first name, as president. Ten candidates came forward and six were nominated: Canadian barnacles, cygnets, mallard ducklings, crested rascals, gallilunets and tadorneaux de belon. After deliberation, the jury will award: - the Speedy Gonzales price to the tadorneaux for their speed of movement, - the Donald Cardwell price for artistic fluff to scabbards, - and the supreme award, the Duvet d? Or, to Canadian bernachons for their sense of autonomy and elegance.
