Kenya, Masai Mara savanna. Kay Holekamp, an American biologist studying spotted hyenas there for 25 years. Their social organization is complex. Maasai pastoralists from the neighboring village of fear Talek hyenas, and respond to their attacks by laying traps and poisoned carcasses. Kay wants to know the territory Talek hyenas to find a solution to the conflict. It highlights the intelligence and adaptability of these large predators.
